The medieval town of Labin is situated on the hill above Rabac. Its old name of Albona was first mentioned in 285 AD. The birthplace of Matthias Flacius Illyricus, the reformer and collaborator of Martin Luther, it is a cultural and administrative center today. The rich cultural and architectural heritage of Labin is enlivened by number of art ateliers and by the bustling youth gathering in the coffee bars scattered around the old town. The Sculpture Park in nearby Dubrova features over 70 forma viva stone sculptures. After a walk through the narrow streets of the Old Town, pay a visit to the Town Museum with its archaeological and unique in this part of Europe, a miniature coal mine. Have a look at the Memorial collection of Matthias Flacius Illyricus, peek into the art ateliers, enjoy the view of Rabac and Cres island from the Fortica or pop into the small, elegant shops and take refreshments on one of the terraces of the local coffee bars. Urlaub Juli 22. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Wir waren dort mit 7 Personen und unser Hund war auch dabei. Wir wurden freundlich von Carla empfangen. Sie kümmerte sich um den Pool und war immer über Handy erreichbar. Das Haus war wunderschön, es war sauber und sehr gepflegt. Das Beste war natürlich der Pool und die Außenanlagen. Rundum ein gelungener Urlaub. Wir bedanken für den tollen Urlaub!

Villa Alvona is a nice holiday home with plenty of room and facilities. We stayed for 10 days with 2 couples and 2 Dogs. The house is big, with a kitchen, bathroom and 2 bedrooms on each floor (even 2 bathrooms on the ground floor) the big garden is beautiful with trees, bushes, grape trees, different terraces and a huge clean inviting swimming pool, bbq place and picnic bench. The care taker Carla is a very nice and helpful young lady, gave us lots of tips and usefull pointers, she came around every few days with fresh towels and to clean the pool, and check up on us. There are several super markets within 2 km and even a store in the beginning of the street, where you can buy fresh bread in the morning. We made some beautiful walks and climbs in the rough nature and visited some nice and attractive towns nearby. We had a great holiday and wish to thank Carla for her hospitality and also a big thumbs up for the organisation Eurotours for their correct service and support.
