Temple of Jupiter
A small ancient Roman Sanctuary, situated in the ruins of Diocletian's Palace, is one of the significant landmarks when it comes to places to visit in Croatia. A reasonably small building located near the central courtyard of the palace, stands opposite to the emperor's mausoleum. Dated back to 295 to 305 AD, the Temple of Jupiter is an integral part of this palace. There is a lot of history to this temple as it is believed that Romans built it in honor of Jupiter, the god of sky and thunder. Other than that, the indoor and outdoor architectural and decorative elements of the temple are worth noticing. This is one of those great places, which shouts Roman elegance and culture.

Cathedral of St. Domnius
